DDS Environmental have successfully gained the optimum 3 year HSE Licence for Asbestos Removal.
Since our inception in 2014, as per the standard process, we achieved and retained the original 1 year Licence prior to achieving the 2 year Licence in 2015 and again in 2017.
What is the difference between a 1 year, 2 year or 3 year Licence?
Effectively, a 3 year HSE Licence for asbestos removal is the hardest to achieve, and for good reason.
A reputable Asbestos Removal Contractor would always aspire to achieve a 3 year Licence. It demonstrates the highest degree of competence and ultimately tells the client that as a Contractor we are trusted to conduct ourselves in a safe and proper manner, ensuring the Health & Safety of all around us.
For our latest Licence application, DDS Environmental assisted the HSE with a pilot for the new assessment scheme. Assessed by none other than the Head of the Licensing unit, Archie Mitchell, we are incredibly proud of all colleagues involved from the Operatives on site to Management.
Our colleagues on site are the direct and visible representation of the company therefore to have their efforts recognised in such esteemed capacity is hugely valued and appreciated. The efforts of our office based colleagues were equally responsible for the award of the 3 year Licence, the extremely high standard of administration and recording of activities was paramount.
Alongside the rigorous process to successfully obtain the 3 year Licence, the HSE are quite rightly strict with the ongoing monitoring and observing of such Contractors. Each and every asbestos removal / management project needs to be executed to the same impeccably high standard to ensure we retain the Licence.
In addition to our current repertoire of accreditations and relevant memberships including ARCA and Constructionline, the 3 year Licence further supports our commitment to executing asbestos removal and management works to the optimum degree.
